Perry County Corvette Club History:
Corvette enthusiasts from the Perry County and surrounding counties held monthly meetings starting in 1977. Perry County Corvette Club was incorporated in the State of Pa. on September 31, 1978. We formed a constitution and by-laws on that date. The club was started with 26 people and as of today we still have 4 original charter members who started the club with a total of 29 members in the current year. Sheaffer-Weary Chevrolet, Loysville, Pa. Sponsored our club in the early years until Regester Chevrolet, Thompsontown, Pa. became our sponsor and remains our sponsor as of today.
1980 Perry County Corvette Club was NCCC Eastern Regional Champions. May/June issue of Blue Bars one of our club members made the back cover with the John Deere Special; we really know how to spread the Corvette news and wisdom. Several individuals from our club have placed in the top 10 for the Eastern Region points in the Rally and Concourse events. Members enjoy providing our Vettes for Veterans and Memorial Day parades; Homecoming events as well as other area parades. Our best times are when we just go cruising in our Corvettes. Club members enjoy the sheer pleasure of driving and the site of many Corvettes together on the open road.
